A plan is a good fit if:

What We Focus On in Each Season
Downers Grove has four very different pest seasons. Each visit is timed to the pests that are active or about to be. The usual outdoor window runs from the last frost in late April to the first frost in mid-to-late October, while frequent freeze/thaw cycles can open new exterior gaps.
Spring: Ants start moving as the ground warms. Spiders come out of hiding, and carpenter ants become active. This is also termite swarm season, so we watch for signs around your foundation.
Summer: Wasps and hornets build nests under eaves and on decks. Ants and spiders are at their peak. We treat the outside of your home and clear small nests we can safely reach.
Fall: Mice and rats look for a warm place to spend the winter. Stink bugs, boxelder bugs and lady beetles gather on the sunny sides of houses. Yellow jackets are at their most aggressive. This visit builds a barrier and checks for gaps.
Winter: We check the home for signs of rodents and pests that survive indoors, such as cockroaches and silverfish, and look for gaps that opened up over the cold months.

What to Expect From Your Visits
The first visit is the longest. The technician inspects your home inside and out, treats the outside and talks with you about what you have been seeing. This can take up to an hour or more, depending on the size of your home and yard.
Later visits are shorter. Regular visits mainly cover the outside of the home and usually take less time.
You may not need to be home. If the technician can reach your yard and the exterior of the house, you can stay out. For indoor treatment, someone needs to let the technician in.
Why Quarterly Visits Work
Pest treatments do not last forever. Sun, rain and cold break them down. Pests also change with the season, so what works in spring does not always stop the pests of fall.
Regular visits keep a protective barrier in place while pests are most active. They also mean a trained person sees your home four times a year, which helps catch small issues before they become big ones.

Not for outside treatments as long as we can get to the yard. For indoor treatments, someone needs to be home.
Will the plan get rid of mice?
The plan helps keep mice out by checking for gaps and treating the outside of your home. If you already have mice inside, you will need Mouse Control to remove them first.
What if pests come back between visits?
Call us. If pests covered by your plan return, we will come back and treat again at no extra charge.

Is the treatment safe for children and pets?
Treatments follow product labels and safety rules. Most of the work happens outside, and your technician will tell you what was used and if anything needs to be avoided for a short time.
